Company comes to Lake Wenatchee

On Friday, our dear friends, the Sillanpaas, came to visit.  They brought spice cake and pulla for coffee time.  They even brought firewood in an old suitcase.  The suitcase has a story:  Rauni and Paavo brought that suitcase with them from Finland in the 60s!  It carried all their belongings for beginning life in the US as a young couple.  A few years later, the suitcase went on a trip to Finland with the Sillanpaas who now had 2 children.  However, the suitcase went to Israel instead of Finland. It was four days later when the suitcase arrived.  I think this suitcase should be in the Nordic Heritage Museum as an immigrant family heirloom!
