Short Break

After working 3 hours Monday morning, I drove the Jeep back to Seattle to meet my friend, Kathy, for dinner and to attend the Small Faces Board of Directors meeting.  It was a nice day for a ride in the Jeep even though I didn't have the top down.  Once outside of Seattle, the roads are generally smooth and easy going.  In town, the bumps are many, especially on Delridge.  Sonny came along to Seattle on Wednesday morning.  He got his chores done early on Tuesday and was able to get in a round of golf in Leavenworth in the afternoon.  We did laundry and house hold chores in Seattle before heading back to Lake Wenatchee late this afternoon.

In this campsite, the campers made corn husk dolls to play with.  Campers so seem to eat a lot of corn on the cob as we find husks everywhere.

Today, Bob's toys include another Army guy and more Legos.

Gold Bar, WA with the Wenatchee forest fire haze in the distance.

I was trying to capture the red clouds in the West as we rode along Route 2. Once we arrived at Lake Wenatchee, the smoke cleared.  We can see the stars tonight and there's no hint of fire in the air.
