Campers began leaving around 6:30 AM probably to avoid the traffic back to the West Side. Our coordinator arrived at 8 AM with the Departure list-85 sites checking out today! We were able to get an earlier start. Sonny was still selling wood-it was cool and a few wanted a campfire for breakfast.
The exodus to leave created at long line at the Dump Station. There are two stations but one guy didn't pull forward enough and the guy behind was too close so folks had to wait.

| Sonny caught me raking up around a tent pad. With no rain for weeks, the ground is very dusty. |
I found a mood ring, a fish hook, $.07 and 4 tent stakes while raking pine needles.
 |
| This is one of our stops to empty the fire pit ashes. |

Just the trees, squirrels, jays and crows around now.
While we were riding along in the GEM, a chipmunk jumped in for a ride along. I couldn't get my camera out fast enough before he ran out the other side.

| One of our jobs is to clean fire pits. This one had a large charred plank in it. |
 |
| This rock in the woods was a great place for the children to play. |
 |
| This fire pit was still hot. |
At break time today, we went over the South Park to drop off the wood sales envelope. This is the last day for the store to be open for the summer. The rest of the month, they will only be open on weekends. No more lattes at break time! We checked in with our South Park counterpart who was all alone cleaning sites. She was making progress but it was slow going. She, too, has 100 sites to tend to. Her partner got a day job in Marysville driving school buses so she's done volunteering for the season. The Park system has 6 part time assistants who will help her get caught up.
We were able to clean 27 sites before quitting for dinner. We have no TV reception and only 2 radio stations so Sonny thought he would try a wire extension on the antennae....no luck. We did bring along 30 DVDs to tide us over.
We ate dinner by the fire this evening. I made a pork roast in the crock pot. The coals were good for marshmallows so I made peanut butter cup s'mores.
