End of Week 1

On Wednesday, we drove back to Seattle right after breakfast.  We stopped at Smallwood's fruit stand on the way into Leavenworth to get peaches and apples.  I couldn't believe that we spent $12 on 4 apples and we live in the "apple capital"?  They were right off the tree-no middle man! How come so much??

Donna and Kim: remember when we stopped here many years ago and fed the animals?

Expensive but pretty.

This is the store cat who apparently doesn't miss any meals!

Finally caught a picture of the cat looking up.

So many different kinds of apples and pears.

$12 worth of Washington apples
At home, we did yard work and laundry.  The plants were glad to have a drink and the birds liked having their feeder filled.  Sonny did his "job" volunteering at West Seattle Golf course and we were back on the road by 2 PM Thursday to try avoid traffic.  Even 2 PM was too late.  Traffic on 405 was pretty steady but not like it was at 6:30 AM when we left home last week. It was clear all the way over Steven's Pass.  I drove my, "new to me" Jeep while Sonny drove his truck.  I have a meeting on Monday evening so I have to leave Lake Wenatchee early next week.  We stopped for coffee near the Pass.
I can be "in the wind" without a helmet and riding gear!

: 0 )  It's a new decade calling for a new way to get around.
